Some disc hernias in the neck region, and in fact some canal stenosis cases, can be safely and effectively done endoscopically. This often avoids the need for fusion surgery and its associated complications which is the traditional solution in these cases.

The same applies to the thoracic spine, where most disc hernias and canal stenosis can also be treated using the endoscope.
